Butte Islamic Center (BIC) is a project in progress, for the sake of Allah, and the first independent Islamic Center in Montana, to accommodate the religious, social and educational needs of the Muslim community in Butte, Montana, USA.
The Muslim community in Butte is mostly students at Montana Tech of the University of Montana, and currently we held our prayers regularly at a dormitory room provided by the University. This space might not be reserved and accessible for Muslim students in the long term.
A vision of a secured and permanent place is put on discussion in early fall 2012, due the benefits to the Muslims currently present in the area. In addition, it raises the hope to attract more Muslims living in USA and to cause non-Muslims to learn about Islam and accept it.
Any kind of help or support will result, inch Allah, in renting a house to be Butte Islamic Center (BIC) that includes a Masjid with separate sections for men and women and enough rooms for gatherings and events.
Building a Masjid for people to worship Allah, especially in a non-Muslim area, is a great deed for which the Lawgiver grants a great reward.
The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “Whoever builds a mosque, Allaah will build for him something like it in Paradise.” Narrated by al-Bukhaari (450) and Muslim (533) from the hadeeth of ‘Uthmaan (may Allaah be pleased with him)
